Last updated: January 1, 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating a MapleCloud account, you agree to these Terms. MapleCloud Inc. is incorporated in Canada and operates under Canadian law.

2. Service description

MapleCloud provides end-to-end encrypted cloud storage, email, calendar, and password vault services. All user data is encrypted on your device before reaching our servers. MapleCloud cannot access the content of your files, emails, or passwords.

3. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. Because MapleCloud uses zero-knowledge encryption, we cannot recover your account if you lose your password and recovery key. You must back up your recovery key.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use MapleCloud to store or transmit illegal content, to violate the rights of third parties, or to interfere with the service. Accounts violating these terms may be suspended.

5. Data and privacy

We collect only the minimum metadata required to operate the service. Our data practices are described in our Privacy Policy. All servers are located in Canada.

6. Service availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime but make no guarantees. MapleCloud is not liable for data loss or service interruptions beyond our control.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your encrypted data is permanently erased from our servers within 30 days.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email at least 30 days in advance.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
